NEON VIOLETS

In the spring of 2024, I had the privilege of spending a week under the mentorship of sculptor and artist April Key. Invited to shadow her in her studio in Wakefield, UK, I immersed myself in her creative process and explored the craft of neon making.

During my time at April’s studio and the Neon Workshop, I created several hand-formed and blown glass pieces.

'Neon Violet' is one of two photographic installations I developed from these glass designs, in collaboration with photographer Catharina Pavitschitz.
